Not this time. I had to find a decent sized cooler to put it in.

Turkey stayed defrosted in our negative temps in the cooler. Made the herbed butter, packed it under the skin, crushed with olive oil and in the oven! 4.5 hours and it'll be almost ready!

I'll add two more chairs to the table. You mind picking up some whipped cream on your way?

This is the duck confit leg, for those curious. IMG_20181122_1452.jpg IMG_20181122_9660.jpg Basically just a greasy lil roasted duck leg. IMG_20181122_19103.jpg
Total prep. Threw half an onion in there too, hopefully it will hold the duck leg up against the turkey breast.

Oh, our bird was just in a pot of the brine on the patio. No freezing due to the salt water, and it wasn't as cold as it is by Well Seasoned . It is 30° out. Honestly, our bird for tomorrow was small enough to fit in the fridge, even in the pot. However, I wasn't going to second guess my wife.;)

1 1/2 hours to go, then it'll rest on the counter another half hour or so. This'll open up the oven and give time for the other goodies!
