Its probably been discussed, but, what do you think of them. Anyone had one for quite some time? Sorry i meant to write Stihl
Good saw I liked mine just fine, the v2 is as light as any new 60cc saw. I personally skip 60cc saws and go straight to 70cc, especially if I already had a good 50cc saw.
I've had mine for about 3 years, works well, mine is an m-tronic and starts very good regardless of temperature Has a 20" bar, thinking of switching it to an 18", but not sure yet
I've has a 362 C.M. for 4 years this coming Febuary. I keep a 16" combo on it and it really rips! No issues with it ever. I ran a 20" at first but put it on the 461 and moved the 25" to the 661.
362CM owner. Awesome firewood saw with a 20" bar. Needs a muffler mod to wake it up a little, but that's a 10 minute job that involves pulling the muffler cover and drilling 1 hole.
I have one. It's got 3 tanks on it, so it's not broke in yet. I prefer the chain adjustment setup on Stihl as compared to husky, I have noodled some plus sized pine with it and chip clearance seems good. I'm running a 24 inch bar which was less than impressive in elm but it pulls pretty good in pine and fir. Above posts are correct in saying that the 362 needs a port job. In stock form they do not have the power a 361, or any of the 60cc pro model Husqvarnas.
You need to get about 10 tanks through that saw before you can give it a fair judgment. Mine was downright unimpressive until about tank 6 then it woke up.
I've had my 362 for about 6 years. I love this thing. I am running a 24" bar and I cut mostly oak and ash. Cut a lot of hackberry last season and it did great. I can guarantee it starting in the 4th pull everytime. The muffler mod intrigues me. I would love to have that done, but I am in no way a mechanic.
What type of tuning is required for a non-mtronic saw after the 362 muffler mod? Remember, I aint no mechanic.
