I received a email from Drolet this morning they said they would send a new tundra 2 to my house and that I would be responsible for all cost and work to remove my old tundra and install the new one. They said they do not want the old one back they just want me to remove the serial plate from the stove and mail it to them. The customer service at Drolet has been great they never once questioned the fact of delivering a new unit. I’m curious as to see how the new unit will perform I haven’t researched the tundra 2 yet to see if there are any differences between the 2 besides the plenum. Anyone know anything about them

They are the same, only with the firebox issues fixed, plenum, and they have fancier "variable speed" controls on the blower.

How's that for standing by your product? I like these guys. New stove for second garage is definitely going to be a Drolet

It's always refreshing to hear about a company that stand behind their product and honors the warranty.

    Good on Drolet.

I agree, company that stands by their products is worth dealing with. And for them not making you jump through a million hoops and garbage to try to weasel out of it!
Glad it worked out for you, especially since its getting colder out!

As far as the kids go, when my siblings and i were young we had a stove in the house
Even though we were told it was hot, still had to try it out for ourselves, lesson learned, never did that again
Think about that every time around a stove

Just my 2 cents worth. When & if you choose the Out door unit I would go with the Mortage & Main unit, and since they bought Polar the gasser unit is a well built machine and what is more than likely to be going into my new house.I plan on putting it in my garage
