Looking to buy a 16 to 18' enclosed cargo trailer

On the fence about a v nose or a round nose, and also the slanted roof up front. DOnt know what the hell im wanting at the moment.
    Interested in different brands though..

So far ive just done some internet shopping, checked out about 15 different dealer's websites.

Trailer will be 7' or 8.5', whatever is the better deal.
no problems with 8.5' wide and no problem with it being 7' wide either.

Not wanting to spend more then about $6-7k
Not really wanting a white trailer.

Steel or aluminum, doesnt matter to me.
Would prefer it to have a roof vent.
Has to have a ramp rear door.

    Couple examples..

I see alot of trailers from Detro.
Ive always heard great things about transactions through that place.

Anyone of you have a cargo trailer?
    How big is it?
    Any problems?

This will be for hauling stuff, dry storage and what not.
Its either buy a trailer or buy a shed, trailer will be more useful.
I have a 24' equipment trailer and its not very practical to haul around
when we take the atv's our or i take my dirtbike out.

    Thanks for the input.

Jason Dietsch Trailers | Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales in Edgerton OH is your flatbed, enclosed car hauler trailer dealer in Edgerton OH

Do yourself a favor and look seriously at these guys!
As for Johns trailers sales, i wouldn't give them the time of day. I bought two enclosed trailers from them in the early 2000's and didn't have any problems. Last year I was looking for a new 7x18 7' interior and the guy couldn't even bother getting his fat azz out of his chair to show me what he had, just pointed to the lot and said "the lots out there, go look for yourself", i got in my truck and left.

I was treated great at Jason Dietsch and bought the trailer I wanted for right at 5k
feel free to PM me if you want more info

I will add, they have a Facebook page and post pics of people with their new trailers, I see tons of people that have come from all over the country to buy from them.

Going to paint the interior, add 4 more recessed tie downs in the floor plus a few E Track strips.

Working on finding some bright 12v lighting for the interior.
Has 2 led dome light style lights that are pretty bright, but i want more.... more brightness.
I know the white paint im going to use on the walls will help a bunch with brightness.

    Guess I'm too late.
Hope you got leaf spring axles and not torsion axles. And brakes on both axles even if its not required in your state.

    Hah!

    Remember this thread?

    And my new trailer above?

We got some snow and i wanted to take my ATV out around the block a few times.. Well to do that, the gray trailer has to move forward.
Its currently parked in front of the white trailer with my white chevy hooked to the gray trailer.
So i move it forward, no big deal.. Go to move it all back and get it parked where it came from, White trailer/ Gray trailer/ White truck/ Burgundy truck.
So my Dad is motioning me to continue to back up, he's standing in front of the white trailer making sure i dont hit it.. This is crucial...

Well he disapears in my mirror, cant see him. I end up backing right into the coupler of the white trailer......
Freakin punched a hole all the way through the back door of my new trailer.
Sheet metal, floor for the ramp, clean through. Fist sized hole.

Cant wait to see how much this is going to cost!
I'll have to post a picture.

Its fine, im over it now.. crap happens.

I have a 2009 Lark 20' enclosed that the previous owner built a bump-out on the front that acts as a workbench. Love having that trailer, tows nice, I use it for hauling my classic car and for loading up all my saws and gear for the GTG's we go to. Comes in very handy. And I only paid 3k for it!! Its in excellent condition too.

I wish it had torsion suspension, though. Thats one thing I'd look for when I get another bigger trailer down the road

Rule of thumb, if you have a helper directing and you cannot see them, do not move. Glad it was the trailer that got punched instead of the helper. An older couple we used to run cattle together with, she would direct him in hooking up the gooseneck trailer by standing between it and the truck, he accidentally hit the gas pedal once and pinned her pinching her pretty good, not the same scenario I know, but got to protect those helpers (young and old). I am more aware of it with having grandkids around wanting to always help but not always knowing where the safe place is. Sucks about the trailer, but it is a great place to learn about patching it up.

I would of been better off doing it my self..
My Dad has always helped guide me in if he's available.
But this time... I would of been much better off doing it my self.
