Man, that’s a lot of deer!

 

Town snow plow just came down our road.

 

I'd love to see that many deer in any given day of hunting.




Our rifle/shotgun season starts Saturday.


This will be the first year in many that we should actually have snow on the ground.



Make it through the day tomorrow at work, then it's 9 days off, all available for hunting.

 

Got the new washing machine down into the basement and hooked up tonight. Going to pull the tub on the old one for a firepit.

Tree stand in the AM. Hoping for a big doe, but I'll drop a little one if I have to.

 

Ahead of the arrival of the snow I figured I better load some farwood into the plastic shed. First.row right up into the rafters went well.

Second row, just beyond this pic popped the wall out from where the roof held it in place on both sides. Not too surprised I guess. Just need to drop the second row down and figure a way to support it that's not intrusive.

 

Thought if I left early enough I’d get South of it. Nope. Drove through a €£%#*¥• snow storm!

Safe and sound in a nice Hotel, South of it now.

 

Then it's a 3.3 v6.

 

Looks like theres about 6" of snow to clean up once the sun comes up. I'm sure it's nice and heavy too. I'll do minimal clean up and let the weather do the rest.

 

It's light weight at this point (or was when I left the house at 4:15) at 4-5". Already had a berm at the end of the driveway that I had to drive thru. I'm sure it will be a real joy to clean up when I get home after dark this afternoon .

 

Its 33 degrees here. I can't imagine it's too light here.

Monin all... ... got about 4" so far... gonna snow til about 3, I guess. The little kid in me is going nuts... ... the old man, that IS me... is...

Slept with my grandson aka the human windmill in the waterbed last night. Sleep was choppy at best. His dad was supposed to fly to Baltimore, never made it out of Logan after hanging out there until 1A.

 

Caffeine! Currently destroying the bathroom in the pool/fitness center at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Eat your heart out smoke show.

Got up about 5:30 and checked radar and looked like we were on the back end of the storm. Chaz got up early and plowed
Said about 4 to 6 inches. I can tell you I will not be going anyplace. About 29f out.

 

Got about 10” last night. It’s warming up and the snow is compacting, except it has now started to snow again as the backside of the storm hits. At least they got the roads cleared.
