You can sorta see the snow fall rate against the retaining wall. Tough to see with low light, low (or electronic) shutter speed and a small sensor.

If we would of been 5 degrees colder this morning we would of been flat covered. I bet it rained an easy half inch to inch this morning before daylight. And it was 36f!!

We had an old fashioned frog strangler last night. We had 4" in about 6.5 hrs. It has finally quit today, but it's getting colder. About 30° in the morning. We will be rolling flames tonight...

No freezing rain here. Snowed pretty much all afternoon here today. Still spitting some. Nice to have a white opening day for rifle season. Saw over 75 deer today with 11 being bucks but only one shooter and I could not get a shot at him.... Try again tomorrow.

As long as they can roost and are inside they can handle lots.

Just started snowing here at 6:30PM . Big flakes, no wind.
Forecast has pumped up the snow totals to 5 to 8 inches from 3 to 5 earlier. Switching to rain midnight. Hopefully all gone by morning.
Was supposd to start snowing at 4PM but I was able to mow up leaves until it got too dark a little before 5PM and then filled the wood boxes and put the covers back that blew off the other day.
    Burning red maple.

Unbelievable! You can hunt around here every day of the season all day and not see one deer. Or maybe just a flag of one taking off.

25 here and it just started snowing around 8:40. I'm happy to see it, not happy to know it's going to turn wet, heavy, rain mix. Powder rules!
