I know it's early in the burning season but I'm interested in your initial thoughts . So far I'm happy with Cubex but was all so deciding between some Energy blend / FSUs of Engergex soft wood for an additional ton .

My vote goes to LaCrete.I'm also burning the Energex softwood which is a nice pellet but the LaCrete's are really good.
Okie Plats became available at about the same price as anything else around here, happy with them they have the same characteristics as North Country. Burn hot a little ashier than other premium softies but not much same as North Country's. Have some LaCrete's as well and really like them just a bit small in size which seems they empty the hopper quicker than the longer pellets but great heat and decent ash. The third pellet is the MWP softies in the Down East bags I am impressed with these as they burn hot, leave much less ash then the blend, and are very uniform in size in between the LaCrete's and the Okie Plats with very little fines. Really great pellet. So far not any of the pellets I have this year had any substantial amount of fines, seems all of them were very good with the Lacrete's having just a bit more fines than the others but not by much. Thinking about grabbing a ton of Northerns to see if they are as good as they were last year.
I'm still rocking the Packsaddle DF pellets. Hot and clean. I am going to try the Strawberry Mountain DF pellets this year just for comparison sake.
I have 2 / 60 bag pallets of Cubex and 1 ton of Engerex softwood coming next week and 1 ton of Cubex inside so let the season begin .
Blazers....... don't see them anymore... must have had them awhile. i remember when home depot got a truckload in ad sold them same price as Stove chows. 249.00 guess they didn't realize what they had.. my basement was full at the time with 5 tons but I managed to find room for around 18 bags or so..could not pass that blunder up.
So far this year I have burned several Big Heat give them a B burn good but a lot of fines AWF hardwood give them a B also, burn good but dirty the glass quickly Nature's Own give them a B+ burn good and good heat, glass stays fairly clean. O malleys give them an A burn good, good heat, glass stays cleanest and least Ash.
Now that I have put a few tons behind me I have a better idea of what I have been burning . Okie Plats: Have been getting good heat from them and now am burning them exclusively in the cellar stove which seems to be doing much better than the P68 where I get a fair amount of ash but still fairly good heat. P43 does much better burning them more efficiently. Rate them a B- Down East: Good pellet very consistent good heat and less ash then the Okies Rate them a B Energex Softwood: Very similar performance to the Down East good pellet Rate them a B Northern Max / Cubex: Great as always for me hot burn, better than average ash but to dang expensive this year A- LaCrete: Great pellet again this year hot burn, good ash and with me having to buy so late this year good price same as the Okie Plats a better pellet. Rate them an A Matra's: The creme of the crop when it comes to pellets this year for burning for me, consistent pellets through all 3 tons I have purchased, Wicked hot burn, Super clean burning , and the best ash output of any softie I have ever burn excluding but not by much Douglass Fir and Vermont's Rate them A ++
