One goal for this week was to get the winter's supply of wood in the barn. It is not done but boy am I ever tired. Week got off to a tough start with some running around to do then company and only one trailer load hauled in. Tuesday, more company. Two loads hauled in. Wednesday. More running around to do. Got to see wishlist too that day. Not sure if he is got on this forum yet or not but will if he hasn't already. Last 2 days were about a blur but we did get a bunch of rain (.8"). Today I finally got at it again and hauled in 3 loads. Sorry, no pictures yet but will get some. Probably the reason I'm so whipped is that this summer I've been able to do very little. Haven't even hardly rode the bike as I just could not because of the pain. Still trying to overcome that bad fall last October. Not doing too well at it but keep pecking away. If I can get the wood in the barn. I still have to finish stacking the wood we cut last winter. Maybe by spring.....
Just remember the story of the Tortoise and the Hare. I find it is amazing how much I can get done if I just do a little everyday. Gary
Yup. That is what I'm trying to do. A little bit each day. Actually, a little bit, come in and rest. Go out for a little more, etc. Trouble is, not much gets done... Pee on it.
I guess you got lucky, it rained off and on here all day. Just keep chipping away at the work and you will get er done
Zap, I know you would and thank you. HD, we only had a few sprinkles here. Really felt great working this morning when it was a bit nippy out there.
Sounds like you got quite a bit done. If I lived anywhere near you I would come stack it for you just so you could teach me how to stack like you do. Sometimes I get frustrated when I have been working 12's and think there is no use trying to get a project started at home in the evening but it always seems like if I just do a bit here and there it eventually gets done before I know it.
You know we would all be there if we could Dennis, as we are a tight group. As others have stated, alittle at a time goes a long way.
Ummmmm.... Dennis, I'm not that far away, & happy to drive over & help. Send me a date & I'm bettin we can get it done. A C
Little by little Dennis; it'll get done. Just not worth trying to over exert yourself and then nothing will get done. Hang in there!
My wife is always hollering, "it's not worth killing yourself over". That is unless it is one of "her" priorities. Like already said, slow and steady. Maintain good body mechanics.
Ya Dennis. Like my neighbor says. It will be there for you to work on when you get back at it. Nothing to worry about.
