...new stoves...do they???

    Just wondering. Do any of the EPA stoves have a door without gaskets like a Fisher? I understand the glass needs a gasket...but are there stoves now a days that don't need a gasket for the door?

    And then there was this local guy that had a fisher stove...someone looked at it and said, your gasket has completely fallen out! So he put a gasket into it.

    I tried telling him but he's a stubborn sort of guy...just knows too much, I guess. I asked him, if the door had a gasket, don't you think you would have seen it once it got loose and fell out?????

    Thanks for the replies. I am thinking that next time my Fisher cools off I am going to try the dollar bill test...just curious.

    yeah right...flash point...I burn wood in part to save money...don't want to burn up money I saved...money saved is money earned.
