Took out 3 blowdowns at my place today, All Austrian Pine. one leaner & one "hanger". Was a nice day out Mid 30's & a little snow. Blocked them up & stacked for shoulder season. Not much, maybe 1/2 cord. Only bummer was my ported 026 didn't start well, got it fired & made a few cuts, it ran good, then stalled. Tuned it & still had to pour a little mix down it's throat. Finally just grabbed the stock 026 to finish up due to time.
Yep, Hillbilly cable skidder. Works better than you might think too. It'll skid 3-4 decent size logs very nicely.
Nvm. Just read where you had it running and tuned. Might need a new fuel line and filter. Maybe impulse hose too
Yea, that was kinda my thought. When running it sounded good, but it would not restart cold. I got it to fire outside once, but it stalled & didn't restart. Just grabbed the other one. One the other hand, that 036 lit on the third pull & ran like scalded dog. Bit overkill for 12-14" Pine though.
