    Got the coals burned down and a little bit of ash shovelled out of the boiler....threw in 5 or 6 splits....should be good until at least tomorrow evening.

    Looks like 28 on the back porch. Ash and Pine overnight and Pine in the boiler this morning.

    Guessers say low 20s overnight this weekend.

    Its actually warm here compared to a lot of other places around the U.S, 27 out right now where we are in PNW. Supposed to sunshine, and be a pretty decent day, i'll say this till it rains, We NEED some serious rain.

    We've reached out high for the day already at about 37 and it looks pretty damp out there. Supposed to get down into the low 20's.

    Haven't ventured outside to check the boiler yet.

    Awoke to snow falling and 30 deg. (it was expected), and it's still coming down.
    Some kind of "snow event". I'm heading to the bunker now. I'll check later for the all clear signal. :picard:

    Oak and maple in the stove
    Had a helper at the shop Tuesday and put a chimney up for a furnace that's been sitting there for 5 years.
    Tired of burning diesel for heat.
    Gonna be warm wrenching stuff this winter

    Still chilly, currently sitting at -17 C feels -25 C, or 1 F feels -13 F. It did drop to -24 C feels -32 C around 430 am but that was short lived. I guess the bright side of the temp drops is a guy/wife/dogs get used to it in a hurry, like it or not!:thumbs:

    Got our first ground cover of snow this morning. Can't see much in the woods as the snow is sticking to everything. So, no hunt this morning. Now I'm watching the snow fall from the trees and it seems to be happening fast. I think the snowfall is about done. Maybe 1 1/2-2" maximum. Probably stores are out of bread and milk and tp. People parking their cars in strange places, like ditches...
