    Hmm...I don't think that was me...I do seem to recall someone saying something about the smell of Ash though...only reason I remember is I thought it was odd, because I never really noticed a particularly strong smell of any kind with Ash.

    Two times in one day. No I don't like looking at dead cats and I also don't care for the smell of wet Ash. :)

    Looks like it's been sitting a bit. Gotta wonder how bad it looks underneath.

    When I split that shagbark hickory, I could smell a very distinct odor of manure. The wood grew up in Wis (the dairy state, right?)

    What a co inky dink......ya think?

    Closet is done. She decided not to paint it, which made me happy.

    Darn, odds against us for the new pad in town. Greasing of palms here between the realtors/college rental kingpins/bankers here is out of control. I'm extremely disappointed the banker that pre-qualified me (see attachment) told the realtor some personal things, that I am handicap and I was crazy to think he would lend me the $$. WTF? He puts I'm qualified in writing but will stop the funding for the sale to me? Soo many missteps by the housing people wheel here it's very sad. You here all know I am handicap-there is no shame in it. God Forbid him or one of his family learn they have bad genes and get a rare rheumatic disease only to have that used against him.

    I'm in a mad dash to get a loan from my previous bank in Colorado and the loan officer is not confident he can get me approved in time :confused:

    Seller has to look out for his interests too, he can close on Wednesday with the very small offer but hopes my financing comes through. I do too.

    WWW stopped in for a visit at our bank to speak with my loan officer. Loan guy did not put together our VERY rare last name and the husband I spoke of "was" a potential asset for the bank he works at. Made him shrink and squirm for him sharing my personal information though he denied it. WWW gets courted for his work account, that bank can that kiss that corporate account bye bye. Though my personal account is very small I am moving that too. IMG_20181105_173050177.jpg

    We had 50 mph winds on Sunday. It wouldn't surprise me if they just kept howling through to Maine and northeastern coastal Canada.

    We had some branches down even after their leaves were dropped.

    :mad::mad:

    Not sure how they "pre-qualify" you without intention to commit to the loan.

    Oh man...reading this got me :mad:...you need to go in there and ask them how they feel about a full on "Americans with disability's" investigation! I would think a couple phone calls would start those wheels rolling pretty easily!
    On a similar topic...I was forced to refinance my place a few years back...bank screwed around until the last minute and then at closing I find the rate I had locked in (and had the paperwork to prove) had been changed to a new higher rate...and since I was up against the clock I pretty much had to sign it.
    I walked straight from the lawyers office (they handle the closing) over to the bank across the street, asked to talk to the mortgage dude, of course he's not there. He called me the next day with some BS excuses...so I went into the bank again to see the guy I had gotten my original mortgage from (a straight shooter) he was now in charge of a different department, but he said he would check into it. He called back saying that all the BS the other guy fed me was unfortunate, but true...total steaming pile of BS, and I had the paperwork to prove it!
    I told him they just lost my business forever and I would defame their name whenever I got the chance forevermore. I went to the teller and closed all my accounts right then and there...under watch of security as they knew how pizzed I was. Then as soon as the rates dropped again I refinanced with another bank, and they have been a total breath of fresh air to deal with, it cost me $2k in refi fees, but that was probably a lot cheaper that what a lawyer would have cost me to go after these clowns. That's what happens when a small town bank gets bought out by a regional bank, everybody there gets a big head thinking they're all that now! Jerks :mad: :headbang:
