Didn’t cut any wood over the summer. Made up for it the last two weeks. Now I have to do some splitting. Should be for 2020-21 season.
I see some noodles in your future, those are some big rounds. Good work, nice to have the tools, I mean toys too.
Yea, two years ago I would of walked away from this one. But with the huztl 660 I feel more comfortable with the big stuff. New tractor helps also, but the old one would of done it also with the 3 point forks. I did bring my Homelite 925xl for backup but didn’t need it.
The larger stuff is Oak for sure but not sure what kind. The load in the truck with half a trailer is maple.
What the heck? This guy brings his tractor with him when he makes wood? (first pic...) 2nd pic..... Holy crap! Now I understand!
Yeah I left out a picture of the other side of the trailer. Four of those maple rounds were larger than the oak. That is why the tractor went with me on the trailer. The big oak was from a neighbors house down the road. Towed the trailer down with the tractor. Ended up doing two trips because of a couple small hills. Didn't know if the tractor would handle the load up and down the hills.
Lot of red oak leaves on the ground, I know they didn't come from that tree, but the remaining bark is either red or water oak. Great wood, either way.
