Looks like we'll warm up a couple days this week then some more serious cold is liable to move in toward the end of the week. A bit of wind coming too which I'd gladly like without.
Well the wind is blowing like crazy now. I think the power may go out. Lights have been flickering. Going to be nice out one day.
Got up to 54* today...44 now....wanna start a fire but its still 69* inside. Low of 38* tonite...guess ill wait a little.....our winds have subsided....calm right now. Looks like ya guys up north are gettin ur now..
I couldn't help myself....I fired up!!! 67 in the house headed for a low of 40 tonite. Put in a few scraps and some maple that was mixed in with a load of oak I bought few weeks ago!!! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
39 here, and the stove is cooking through some birch and 2+ year old red oak. A little early for the hard stuff, but I couldn't resist. The next several weeks I'll be running through a few stacks of jack pine and birch, saving most of the hard wood for Jan/Feb/March.
Im just out of Augusta and Im glad were not sitting in the dark. Hope everything is good for you also.
Nice bear!!! Soon as its a little chilly my wife and kids are always asking.....Dad you lighting a fire....!!! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
We were kept on the cool side of the front today so it was raining and in the 40’s all morning, then topped out about 48 but with 40-50 mph gusts this afternoon. Now it’s dropping into the 30’s and it’s still pretty windy but not like earlier. I let the temperature get down to 68 in here and around 10 am I lit another fire. It’s 81 now and I just threw a couple splits in for the night. I’ll be sleeping with the bedroom window open a bit
Just got home from a nice bonfire at a friend's place. Beautiful night here, clear & 34F. Tossed a few Silver Maple splits in the boiler. 70 in the shop & 74 in the house. Looks like some colder weather later next week. We'll see how much load that puts on the boiler. So far it's barely having to cycle to keep up.
35f outside 75f inside burning nasty wet basswood in outdoor boiler to keep Sparks down . Because of fall leaves laying around . Sent from my LGL84VL using Tapatalk
It was 36 when I got up at 4 this morning and still 78 in the stove room. I forgot about the time change but it’s gonna take awhile to adjust. I’m sure I’m not alone there.
