Had some pretty gusty winds a few weeks back in Southern Vermont. Ended up knocking down a couple of trees on our slice of property. I took out the MS250 and harvested a decent amount of heat.

Appears to be mostly birch. I did some splitting today and could smell it. A few rounds were punky; but sit them anyways.

I may get some heat from the smaller rounds this winter. But most likely, this will be for the next heating season. Gotta love when this stuff practically falls in your stacks.

Skier...is that your place in the back? Is that an A frame with a walk out basement? Looks Awesome! I want to build one last place before I die and that is what I have started to plan...would love to see pix of that maybe on the DIY board.

Nice stack there. Nice when nature provides in such a convenient way. :)

I’ll take some closer pics so we can get a better ID. Lots of yellow birch up back with some Beech mixed in here and there. Beech is disappearing fast these days unfortunately; disease.

That’s our neighbor’s place; and we are in an A Frame as well. Love that design!

Here’s a quick pic of our place which is a bit smaller than next door. I can post more in the DIY forum if you like.

Here are a few pics I took of the wood. Feel free to chime in with ID suggestions.
