Same here. I've had mine for about 8 years now and it's never given me problems (knock on wood).

OP: Get some pro chains for it, not the big box store replacements. Congrats on the saw.

X2 on the chains. Stihl rapid super chain is wicked good stuff for clean wood

Good point, yes I use full chisel vs the safety chain you get at the stores. But don't be afraid to wear the safety chain out that it came with.

I purchased a Husky 450 E earlier this year. I really like it. I got when they had a promotion and it covers the engine for 4 years from date of purchase. I got it at our local family owned hardware and mill, they are on the 4th generation there! Enjoy!

Google says 12.8 for the 455 11.3 for the 450.

I remember being surprised at how much more it weighed than the 450 for such a small difference

Nice looking addition to the firewood gathering tools. Be sure and keep a sharp chain and feed it good ethanol free mix, and it should last you for many years.

What size bar did you get?

I have the same saw, works great.

    Original chain isn't my favorite.

Mine came with the 20" bar. I'm thinking about getting the 16".
