I like all of those Well how about Bubinga, that's my screen name on another forum http://www.wood-database.com/lumber-identification/hardwoods/bubinga/
We've named several of our critters only to change it soon after as they tend to name themselves with their antic's and personality.
We have always waited to name them. As you said, they tend to name themselves. Yesterday, I was stacking some wood and he was chewing and playing with some wood scraps. Oscar always enjoyed hanging out by the wood stacks with me. Almost positive that he is gonna be Timber..
Timber, nice name. I like it. Just be careful someone doesn't holler "timber......" when taking down a tree. He might just go running towards whoever was shouting.
Nice looking dog. I always like to think dogs should have a name that reflects their breed. I could think of any good Canadian names for my yellow Lab, so I named him Jake...but I imagine him talking with a Canadian accent. "Da duck huntin's good up in dem nort woods around Labrador, eh?" Since your dog is German: you like gun names, Walther? Call him Walt for short. Wolfgang...wolf? Hanz or Franz. My $.02.
I often just call my dog "pup", "buddy", "Bud", "Bubba", "Bub". His actual name is Cole as in Cole Trickle from Days of Thunder Also because he is a black lab... Cole sounds the same as Coal.
I love those guys! Best thing to come out of Saturday night live...other than the hilarious Chris Farley of course
