Was chillier last night than forecast, hitting -7 C feels -13 C with wind, or 19 F feels 8 F. Up to -1 C or 29 F now (supposed overnight temp!) and should see +8 C or 46 F for a high today. Still burning off uglies like it's my mission in life. Might have a date with the splitter and bust up some of that poplar I've been dragging home.

It’s been spitting snow and rain mixed off and on since 10 am and it’s hanging around 35 outside. It’s perfect in here though with some pine keeping the cat happy.

44 outside only 63 inside. Gonna warm it up with some boxelder. Light showers through out the day. Inside projects and maybe some day drinking since I don't plan on leaving the house.

It’s a balmy 34 outside and 78 in here. I’m burning one piece of pine at a time burning down the coals. Probably hit 50 later so I plan to let it go out and restart tonight.

That is what my wife does. Bedroom window wide open with fan. Our bedroom will be 50 degrees, and the living room about 85 when I wake up. Love it!

Geeze, the house temperature was down to 70 so, the stove has been started. It won't take long to get this dampness out of the air.

Windy day today. Power went out for a few hours. We went to a movie and came home to lights, and a boiler still up to temp. Had to move a few limbs out of the road, but nothing like the sustained 50 MPH. Last Saturday.

A bit of snow today and a high of 3c/37f. Visited a brewery with friends this afternoon and then home to fire up the stove and smoke some meat. It was a good Sunday.

Finally beginning to feel more like fall. Nice and cool this morning, warming up this afternoon. Built a small fire with samll maple and hickory limbs. About 30 minutes had it nice and toasty.

    Mid 30's this morning.

Looks like our "indian summer" is over. It'll be in the 20's for lows and 30's for highs by the end of the week.

Mid 30's here right now. Supposed to be sunny and 60 today and sunny and 70 tomorrow, then settle into 50's/30's which is just about perfect in my book.

Boiler is still only needing about 3 or 4 splits per day. Load it in the AM, poke things around a little in the evening.

Good thing the rain isnt snow!
Brought 2 crate of shoulder wood up from the shop yesterday and tore the snot out of the yard with the loader. 1st time in the almost 30 years I've been here the yard has been this wet in the fall.
