He made short work of this Sugar Maple but I need to check and make sure he didn't buck 'em too long to fit in the stove.

Ebbie was up on a stump barking, at the end of our good day outside. She is 14+ years, which is pretty old for a lab. I think this may be our last Winter. She is zonked on her bed with her Serta counting sheep doll. This week she chased off a coyote that came up to the shop while I was inside it. I fired off some .22 rounds in the air and she dropped and play dead. Thought it was “the big one”.
Well, hard Maple is one of the woods you can get away with leaving stacked in rounds for a while. That said, I hope to get it split and stacked this fall. That stuff burns great, and the sooner I stack it, the sooner I get to burn it.
