Have you laid them up on the tires to check for fender clearance yet?

A Ash tree that had grown into a Y split one Y off in a wind storm, I cut it off and pushed it out of the way so I could finish. later I skided it to the wood pile.

Looks great! How do you like the county line box blade? Any pros vs cons?

Iused thr front loader with a slight tilt just above the ground on the small stuff. the big stuff i raised th efront loader to about 6 7 feet push the clump over till I saw the roots come up then full tilt and lift the tractor to up root them more. Then back off and push the roots out.

Some were 4 to 5 inches in dia stuff in the clump and I used ther Echo CS 400 or Polan 2150 to cut them flush then push tem off to the side.

County line box blade. Was sort of a surprize as I went with My brother in law to buy it so we could use my tax exempt status plus it was on sale. Was dark once we got out of there so I told him I would deliver the blade to his house the next day.
The next morniong I am up early and checked for a E mail from my brother and had one from His wife telling me to enjoy my Birthday presant.
Wouldn't have been my first choice in a tractor tool. I would like a york rake.

Cons is in wet damp soil like in the spring it clogs up, once it does that it does nothing but scoot. Once the summer arrives and the soil has dried out it does OK if you don't clog it up with roots and rocks.
Make sure the top link lock nut is toqured down really tight or it will change the toip link adjustment as it hits had parts and rocks and roots.

Pro is it will loosen up some dry soil and drop it in holes leveling the area some what. Provides some weight for FEL bucket use easy to hang several hundred pounds of suit case weights to each side to add more weight for FEL bucket work.

TIP when you use it on your gravel drive way have the gravel good and loose remove the rippers and flip them then blade the drive again or yoiu will have tracks left where the rippers ran to loosen the gravel.

I suppose that would be the case with all box blades.

Isn't real easy to hook my quick hitch up to it. I need to cut about an inch off gussets so the quick hitch finger can slide in with out me fooling with the blades lift angle till the fingers are thru.
I'll get some pictures of that later.

My Kubota has neither been at work nor play, it literally is split in half right now as I await a new clutch kit for it. I cannot complain though, 2700 hours of HARD labor, and 19 years of life for a $180 clutch kit. That is cheap considering.

It really was not the clutch that caused the problem, but rather the throw out bearing. I replaced the clutch of course while I was in there, but the flywheel was fine. They wanted $180 for that, but being a machinist I just finish ground the flywheel instead of replacing it. I figure if it ends up being a problem, it is easy enough to just split the tractor and go back in and do surgery.

It is a good thing I saved my money though, in putting the front drive shaft back on, it seemed the stub shaft in the front differential was wonky. Sadly the only way to inspect it really was to get at it from inside the pumpkin. That meant removing the wheels, front spindles, front axle shafts, unbolting the pumpkin, dismantling the limited slip and finally popping out the stub shaft that had two bad roller bearings. Good grief it took me 2 hours to just get to the bearings.

Of course they only had one bearing in stock, so it will be a week until they get all the parts in, $130 for Pony Express shipping, on a lame mule.

If I had not seen that bad bearing, I would have been driving my tractor already.

This seems like a good place to ask a Kubota question, I found a 1996 B2150 for $3000, the seller says it has "Engine Knock" how expensivecan a rebuild be on one of these guys?

    TIA
