When I went to the woods today my saw would not run. Popped on full chock, moved it up a notch and then it would start but stall before I could press the trigger.
Came back to the shop and got another saw. An hour later I tried the MS250 in the shop again. displayed the same problem.
It finally started and stayed running, but would load up each time the trigger was pulled. It would then clear out and go to full rev.
    Any ideas?

    Saw is running great now.
Went to the dealer to buy a fuel filter and ended up buying a tune up kit for $19. Fuel filter, spark plug and air filter. Probable got ripped. I also bought a quart of their $32/gallon gas.
Saw started right up and trigger responds was instant.

All. Air filter was the only one that looked a little bad.

Run non ethanol gas at all times!!!! You might have had a little bit of crap run through the saw. I had a similar issue with my Stihl weed eater.

$19 for some preventative maintenance and good running saw, no big deal. Now $32 for a gallon on gas holy moly! :bug:

I don’t know if you have done the muffler mod on yours but my 250 woke up after I did it.

Your issue Sounds like it was fuel related to me.
opening the throttle allowed more air to enter but not enough fuel could be delivered to match.
