Clear, low 30's bright moon. Beautiful out tonight. Pine in the boiler. Still haven't turned on the big fans on the exchangers. Just a couple small fans moving air. 72 inside. Very comfy.
I bet he did, they had the plows out. I'm @ 37 here this AM, with a fire coming along nicely. Oak & Cherry have the duty.
39 and cold rain here. Pine in the stove burning down the coals, 78 in the stove room and 72 upstairs.

Right at 36 degrees outside with a mix of snow sleet and rain.. Snow on car and stairs but not grass.. Wood in stove!
It wasn't supposed to drop below freezing overnight, so I was sort of surprised ( but not really) when it was -6 C or 21 F earlier this morning. Already warmed a few degrees though, nice and sunny, and have a date with the wood shed shortly to get er stocked for winter. Poplar burning same as always.
I think we had our coldest night of the year last night....got down to about 28. The house called for a touch of heat right around 5AM...just enough to make the baseboards warm. I've been putting in 4 medium sized splits of wood...about enough to make a 8"x16" round...in the boiler every morning. That's been enough to make DHW and cover our heating needs.
Home on Sunday from fuertaventura 26 c gets up for work at 5 am on Monday 4.5 c Burning owt I’m frozen daft . 30 c at minute in our living room , everyone is melting but I’m just nice .

We got a few inches of wet chit, but yea, some areas really got hammered. Lincoln was a mess, trees down, roads slippery. Mt Washington got another 18"
Down to about 35 tonight here in Western New York. Decided it was time for the first fire of the season. Mix of hemlock and red maple in the Napoleon. Supposed to warm back up to mid 40’s this week.
35* this mornin..callin for low tomid 50's..got the fire goin with some gingko...then added some hickory. Gonna try n get the rest of surveyin done today.
Need me some gingko! I also need to hoard more poplar. Poplar and basswood have been keeping the basement warm the past couple of weeks, CSS one year. The tree of heaven and willow in the same stack were still wet, had to put that stuff away for another year.
