We’re Gettin’ There

I’ve been cleaning up my parents property and haven’t had a chance to get it back to my house until last weekend. Sorry for the delay of pictures. There’s a good mix of maple, oak, beech, ash, and poplar. Getting ready for future seasons.

1st picture - lined my driveway temporarily with stacked rounds.



2nd picture - more rounds in my side yard. There are some hiding behind the stack, you’ll see.



3rd & 4th pictures - lots of branches that I love to buck with my new SawBuck. Also, I love the branches for my kids to stack!






5th picture - After talking with a new colleague of mine, I scored some free poplar. 2’ rounds.



Have a lot of splitting to do. Can’t wait! I’ll keep you posted.

Nice. Will do. How do you use your poplar? Starter wood, mild temperature fire, mix with higher BTU species?

You're right. I love felling and bucking. It will be nice to put the chainsaw down and grab the splitting ax.......for a while!!!!
