Always know that, you have everything you will ever need....
be it material, mental and physical strength....
and when you need it, He will present it to you.

Psalms 23 says, “thou preparest a table in the presence of my enemies”.

Great FHC support, as directed by His Word to love thy neighbor (no matter how far apart).
May I be allowed to echo those shared prayerful sentiments...

May the almighty provide you and your family with comfort, healing and strength. This group offers much more than any of us realize and if you need anything just ask. I have received support and understanding beyond anything I deserve from members here and can not explain how much it has helped through some very tough times.

    I feel your pain literally.
My dad passed away last week. It was a long drawn out ordeal and under hospice care he deteriorated rapidly.
I've had the same shoulder/chest pain. Likely just tension. Mine radiates to my upper back also.
May peace be in your heart in this time of sorrow.

I had a year like that. Broke up with my fiance, lost my place to live, my mother was diagnosed with cancer for the second time, lost my job, and blew the engine in my car.....all within a couple of weeks. I just had to keep telling myself that the string of bad luck couldn't go on forever and there were better days ahead.......and I was right.

As far as your pains go, I understand that too. A few years ago, I was going through a stressful time at work and I was having chest pains. I had a few tests and they found nothing wrong. One day, I just couldn't take a proper breath at work so I went home sick. After a nice 30 minute drive with the ac blowing on me, I felt a little better.

When I got home, I walked about 20 steps, felt the chest pains come back, went into the house, and prompted collapsed on the floor as soon as I got inside. They did a bunch more stuff including a cardiac stress test. Everything was fine....physically. I made the conscious decision to tell some of the folks at work that their constant self created emergencies were no longer my concern, and that they couldn't count on me to perform miracles anymore to fulfill their insane promises. A few didn't listen and were quite upset when I let their house of cards come crashing down. Very shortly after, they backed off on me and started going after their next victim.

Within a couple of weeks, my chest and shoulder pains stopped. I had to learn that I can only do so much in a certain amount of time and that it was ok to not be the hero all the time. Yes, some stuff fell through the cracks and some people were disappointed. You know what ? That's life and I wasnt put on this earth to keep all the people happy all of the time. I still help out as much as I can but I know that I have limits. If I start getting to the point where I'm feeling stressed all the time, I tell people that they're going to have to help out too because I cant do it all.

I know the stage you're at....and if you dont back off a fair bit, one day really soon you're going to have the floor come up and meet you like I did. Stress CAN and DOES cause very real physical problems, including physical pain. Trust me on this....I know. Accept that you cant be all things to all people. You cant play the entire field and every base yourself....not and keep it up. Learn to back off. Trust me....life WILL go on even if you're not there to play superman for everybody. Reserving some of yourself and time just for you when the whole world appears to need you all at once is NOT being selfish...its called living and being mortal. Learn to say no sometimes, and find some peace bother.....and check your guilt at the door. Also remember.....better days are ahead. The period you're going through right now wont go on forever. :)

Leave it to this family of firewood hoarders Oakman69... to spread love and understanding to anyone hurting from life's challenges. Never fails to amaze me. I think Larry savemoney has said it very well. Things always seem to work out. Stress sure has caused me plenty of crazy symptoms over the years too... and it never was anything serious. A doc visit is still a good plan anyway. Good luck at the appt... :campfire:

Yes, thank you all for the well wishes! You all are just great folks. Puts me at ease a bit just to read all your prayers and well wishes. Well, I went to the gi doc and I had a ct of my neck and upper chest to investigate pain and pressure in my upper left chest shoulder back shldr blade and arm. Had this for a good 6 mo w changes in my energy and intermittent dixzy spells if I didn't eat in morn and worked outside. Had heart checked in Sept w negative results. I have a colonoscopy sched for 20th Nov.
It's the wait for results that is the worst. Anxiety is higher of course but don't think it's a direct cause . Wife n I are pins n needles. Trying not to dwell on it. Feels better to talk tho may get ct results later today.

Can only speak to my experiences with anxiety and stress. When my wife and I took care of my folks years ago, anx & stress was intense and it caused, pretty much, all of the symptoms your seeing now. If you want to be 100% sure it's stress related only... watch how the world lifts off your shoulders when the doc says you're fine... good luck and glad you're having the tests to be sure.

Wow man, so sorry to hear of your dads passing . Know that he is at peace and with the lord. That's how I deal with my dad being gone from us. It's such a difficult time but through Gods grace, our path to healing is accompanied by him.
