Not much going on this weekend, yesterday on my last trip back in I pulled this small ice damaged tree down far enough that I could take the chainsaw to it.

I see the problem they built a raised roadbed in what was a former drainage ditch.

Yes, it floods every spring. We have just never had water where the sump pump couldn't keep up before. I am sooo glad the new pellet furnace is in a section of the basement that is about 6 inches higher than the rest!

I'm a bit disappointed-- first time I've burned in over a week, couldn't find any hot coals...

I finally made my way back in the area I cut, still have some deep snow in a couple of areas with ice on the trails in most of the other areas.

With the warmer weather today and tomorrow I'll be cutting by the weekend.

Wow. That field looks like a runway it's so big. Right now, for floatplanes. Got any airports nearby? Looks like the land's nice n flat out your way.

No airports. We are surrounded by Huge farm fields. Lots of corn and bean fields in the summer. I really don't know anything else, I grew up in the country working for the farmers baling hay and picking rocks. :)

Spring break in Arizona. We took a walk in the desert this morning. Not too many trees here. It is 80+ now, the kids are enjoying the pool at my nephew's.

Worked on drying out the basement all morning and then worked on my sons bedroom. Got all the drywall up and mudding done.

Then spent the afternoon with my friend who just had a baby Friday. I love those newborns! I got my baby fix for a while ;)
