Suppose it's time to dust off this thread. Early yet, but there is a definite feel and smell of fall in the air. Took the dogs for some long walks these past couple days, here are some pics we took.

Started seeing mushrooms a couple weeks ago. Loads of them this year!

Saw these grapes on the side of the road. They smell good.

    First trees starting to turn.

Same here. There is a large birch that generally is dropping leaves by now in recent years, but today is still green.

It was 42* when I left home at 4:30. Still had a couple of hours for the temp to drop.

70 degrees outside this morning, and the house windows are fogged. Seems mother nature can't make up her mind.

It's official, we've had our first night that dipped into the 30s. It was 37 degrees when I rolled out of bed this morning. Looks like we have more coming in the next week or two.

Low this morning was 32*. Basement got down to 63.5 so I turned on the P61a to keep temp at 65* (temp probe).

Has warmed up nicely outside with sun and a breeze - currently 55*.

On my third bag after firing up my stove a couple of days ago. I forgot how nice it is sitting in the living room surrounded by the warmth of the stove. Plus, my wife just left for the day so I get to sit here and contemplate the tasks I would have been doing over the next several hours had she stayed home today. :smoke:
