Hey bogydave I've often wondered if the round-abouts work okay when on a bike?

Good that you still get out on the bike.

    Yea
Took a couple times to gain confidence on them. Now I like them.
Trick is, take the lane in the center as you enter, then creep to the shoulder as you exit them.
Finding that taking the lane in some places is important .

I use high viz clothing & lights
Alaska drivers pretty good sharing the road.
    However, there’s always the .001%.

That's the safest way and is exactly what I teach in all my cycling classes.:salute:

For sure I've been a believer in taking the lane for many moons. If you always hug the outside, where can you go if you have to get over?

Trick is , take the lane.

I need one of your classes .....

Took a while for me to learn that.
Luckily I had bail out locations ...... but it wasn't alway pretty .

On corners (especially blind ones) , turn lanes, round-a-bouts, most approaching pinch points, when oncoming traffic on a narrow road.

Tough one on a narrow road is when a driver thinks the double yellow line
in the middle of the road its a barrier that "must never be crossed" , even if no traffic coming.
"OK to take out the cyclist, but don't ever cross over the yellow line "
