I finally have my hearth up! Soon I can seal it. Will be putting up the waincotting soon and painting (that's a tinted primer we got on clearance).
I'm doing OK, I think. We survived the high holidays! I am working on getting the dining room presentable before Thanksgiving. The old lady is really helping with a lot of the sanding and painting since my shoulder doesn't really like that stuff.
Looks Great! So that beautiful peach color on the drywall is tinted primer of the first coat on the hearth trim?
It's quute pink and will be covered by the red we picked out. The trim is white to match the wainscoting that will be going in next.
Looking good there, Grizzly. Glad the peach is getting covered. My first apartment had that color on the walls in the living room.. On purpose.. Not primer.. I hope the next renter painted it. My 17-25 year old self just laughed at it instead of painting! Learned about painting (inside - had a summer job painting houses when I was 12-13 or so) when we moved from there into our first house and my freshly minted bride said I better pick up a brush and roller and get to work. Still hate painting, but hate it a lot less than peach walls. And much like Mrs Grizzly, Mrs Papi always helps.
Beautiful looking hearth, I love the stone look! It will look even better with the wainscoting up there, very nice job!
