Sounds to me like you are taking the right approach. Seems dog meant her no harm. (No broken skin.) Just wanted her to stop hurting his sore old body. Just an unfortunate mistake by kiddo.

I’ve got one time policy with dogs. Dog bites dogs gone. That said I’d agree the dog isn’t malicious from what you’ve said. Heck I bite when I get jumped on in my sleep and that’s without drugs!

Thank you very much Gentlemen for your insights on Blackie Dog. For certain no aggression or malicious intent on his part, but.... We'll work it out one way or another. Idk, even on medications a small but badly placed bump on my knee or elbow joint sends to my knees to breathe through it, too painful to curse. I shudder to think Blackie is that way too, but maybe he is. He is a good little old doggie and I hope this never happens again.

Caffeine going in. Before any riding of the wheelers today my son and I will go up to my brother’s house for 9am to help him put firewood down in his basement. He has helped me out on wiring/running the barn lighting and a few other things. So it’s time to return the favor.

Before that we need to throw 28 large garbage bags of wood shavings up into the new loft I built. Yesterday we picked those up at the Amish saw mill. Here is a couple pics of the completed loft with the first 28 bags up there. They will all get stacked neatly to get as many up there as we can.

Yeah I wouldn't work about it. His lack of hearing and not wanting to be jostled are certainly what caused the nip.

Gas, are the wood shavings for barn critters? Or are you going to start hoarding home made fire starters;) ? If so you'll need a metric crapton of paper egg cartons, lol

Looks like the wooded lot around the corner has a buyer. Last week they marked the lot lines, last night I noticed an excavator had made its self a little parking area off the road.

I'll have to try and make nice with the builder. After he builds this one for sale, hes going to build the one he bought for himself. Nice close scrounging!

Woke up to a clear cold morning. Just above freezing. campinspecter is putting winter tires on the car today. I hope to get out in the garden and do a few things. Clothes hanging on the line to dry outside. They are going to smell great when they get brought in. Busy day today with baseball to watch tonight.
