I could or should have started a fire overnight but it was around 50 outside and 70 inside (without furnace) so I didn't fire up the woodstove last night. It got down to 36 degrees outside and 65 inside this morning and a fire would have been nice.
Started our first fire last night. Forecasted low of 31 w/ our first frost warning. Supposed to have a couple nights in the 30's so it was time. Sent from my SM-S320VL using Tapatalk
We just had our second fire last night. The first one really didn't count because it was the stinker fire so all the windows were open. Last night we just burned a few pieces of older Pine to take the edge off. It's been droppin' into the 40's in the early morning but in the low 70's during the day. Ahhhh shoulder season.
It was in the 30s last night so I lit a fire. This morning was cool so I stoked it and loaded with Sassafras. 10 hours later the stove is at 275 and coals in the stove. I was gone all day so i figured it would be nice to come home to a warm house as the temp drops again tonight. Right now it’s freaking hot in the living room. Save the propane!!!
Looking good bear 1998! I've had a small fire going all day......burning some cherry. I had to open some windows this afternoon.
Im sittin in my shorts n tee shirt...it doesnt take long to get the heat stirrin. I got a bunch of uglies i wanna burn..but this was a last minute thing....mainly got some ash n maple goin. It sure is nice watchin a fire again...
Thanks I waffled a bit not seeing a top hat. So I took fin from the kids piggy bank to verify. I think it's accurate.
Spent the day on the water for Parents day at URI ( U Rhode Island ) Graduate School for Oceanography. Misting and 50f. Had the heat on for the 80 miles trek back but still needed to light it up. Our first frost advisory is tonight also. Sorry there's no famous people. But I do think I see a monkey!
Been burning for about 2 weeks now. 32 * out right now and snowing. Suppose to get around 3 to 5 inches by morning. Winter is on its way.
