Good for you. If this weather comes your way you'll soon get to break in that new stove.

At 4:00 this morning it was still 61. Now 50 and falling. Much better than that 86 we had a couple days ago. I also see the first mention of snow showers in the forecast. It's about that time of the year.

Not sure what it went to overnight, but it's currently -6 C or 21 F. Daytime hovered around 5 C or 40 F, so I hope it does the same thing today. And if the long range forecast is true (have my doubts!) we have 3 more days of cool, and then nothing below freezing for 10 days. Here's hoping.:)

Ideal Steel it is! Big son of a gun. Guess it will do a fine job of keeping the house warm for many years. Though instill have lots of Catch up to play before winter, I'm looking forward to stretching its legs.

A few degrees above freezing, and yet it's supposed to snow. Should see 5 C or 40-ish F.

Loaded some Elm & Ash pieces along with a little Pine in the boiler last night to be sure. Got to 39F here, & indoor temps stayed right on the settings. It's so nice not to have to hurry to stoke up a fire in the shop first thing to warm it back up, or build a big fire & bake half the night in order to be at temp in the morning. Possible frost tonight, We'll see. Cloudy drizzle & 43 now.

39° and the overnight rain has stopped here in Fredericktown OH. I'm not camping, stayed in a motel. Heading over soon, have to pick up breakfast supplies for the campers. Sausage & egg sandwiches for breakfast!

26 and blizzard conditions right now. 0530. I'm get to throw chains this morning. Setting trusses this morning, if the crane is safe enough to run.
