Its been 15 weeks since my open heart surgery so today I moved 1/2 of a cord from the woodshed to the boiler room.
Moved the wood over to the door of the woodshed .

    Loaded it into the wheelbarrow.
    Oct 10 2018 (7).JPG
To the boiler room wood chute .
    Oct 10 2018 (2).JPG

From the chute to the boiler room floor.

Stacked in the boiler room .

Did not rush and took my time so I feel ready to head out to the woods soon with the wood splitter and saws to get a pickup load !

Good to see you are up and working the wood pile. I am sure everyone told you to not over do things...so I won't say that. It has to feel good doing something you love after you had a big surgery like that. Stay healthy and live long...keep warm with that fire!

How did I not know you had open heart surgery? And more importantly, is there nobody on here close to him a hand?

Glad to see you're up and at it!

Yes, I would have helped on Sunday but sometimes a guy just has to see what he can do. Doctor has cleared him for normal activities as long as he is careful to ease into it. His recovery has been great!

Allan, this is great to hear and I can enjoy imagining the feeling you got while doing it. It can be a great feeling to finally get out and do some work and great therapy. We are happy for you.

Great to hear you are getting after it. Don’t overdo, but I know from personal experience how good it feels to do something after being down for a while.

So, I come home at lunch, pleased to see the truck and woodsplitter is back in the carport and then I walk into the house to be greeted by a husband with dried blood all down the side of his face. Anti-coagulants and blood thinner meds make any bleeding rather spectacular. He bumped his head against the wedge of the woodsplitter. Small damage, major bleeding. And I quote" I only had half a load on so I stuck a rag up against it and put my hat back on to keep the rag there. It quit bleeding". I am NOT hovering and squawking. He is doing great.
