82 degrees here with high humidity today. Not even a hint of having a fire yet........................... Supposed to have wet snow flurries friday night. Weather is truly stupid right now.
We got a record high temp of 84° today. Yesterday it was the degree short of the record temp at, 84° again. Beyond that it was stupid humid both days. Thursday we may have a freeze. Time to winterize the boat.
Yep, screwy weather, bugs out the ying yang, yard is trashed from mowing it while it was soft/muddy ground most of the summer, and here we go again with AC on one day, and heat the next I've sweat so much this summer that my pores have enlarged!
It's a risk to your life here in regards to mosquitos, the high temps and near matching humidity that we've had for MONTHS have allowed a mosquito bloom to the likes of which I've never seen before here. I'm totally ready for winter. We can go ahead and skip fall altogether.
These weather patterns are really strange all over the world. It's going up to 80F today and supposed to drop to the 40's by Saturday. Dont know how to dress the kids anymore I just hope once its gets colder it stays that way. I'm sick and tired of all these mosquitoes and the yellow jackets. This is the most I got stung this year
Same thing here in S.Jersey, high of 83 today and humid as hec!!! Weekend lows of upper 40's and only calling for highs of 58-60 this weekend which am thrilled about, stove is getting broken in!!!
Crazy here too. 86 yesterday. 70's today, low 50's with falling temperature tomorrow followed by 2 days in the 40's. Frost expected. Yesterday was crazy with bugs. New barn is almost full....of the Asian type lady bugs. Nasty things they are.
I have one of those for deer flies, suckers will attack it if you wave it over your head. Ha-ha, suckers. We've been dry so didn't use any Deet this year. We don't have NO mosquitos because I still found some wigglers in the bird baths. Was 83/84ºF here today, another fine beach day. In October. Supposed to rain tomorrow night then cool off. Some of the leaves are just falling off the trees without changing color first. Weird Fall.
Twenty years ago last week I went mountain biking with a good friend before my wedding. Like it was yesterday, I remember riding through the frost covered grass and not blinking an eye about it. I don't think we've seen a frost that early in years.
The zappers work great for those flys, for sure. They also work well for hornets, yellow jackets, etc... just have to come up under them. Bbbbzzzzzzzappp!!!
