Comes down to what you want to do with the machine. I had a Kubota RTV900, awesome piece of work equipment! Sold it to a friend. Have a Cat skid steer and Cat 953, didn't need it. Then bought a Honda Big Red, which I still have. Love it. NOT something I would tow a lot with, you still have to stop it!!! Very reliable, now yes it was pricey but I like peace of mind. Better stuff out there now but they are all overpriced. One fellar above mentioned an old Jeep he saw on a lot... he might be wiser than all of us... make sure you get the biggest bed available to haul the payment book around...
That's what I paid for my 2012 Ranger 400. I think that's a great price. My 400 has been a work horse. The only problem was a fuel pump that went out after 4 years. But that was easy to replace.
I spoke with the dealer again yesterday afternoon. Just a few more questions. Being as un-trusting and skeptical as I am, I wondered about if I was to pay for the unit before it was delivered. Then, during delivery, there was damage to it (accident, deer collision, etc.). I'm thinking I would be at a loss and not the dealer. They seem to agree.
Do an FOB Destination - then it is their insurance. Seriously, they are responsible until "delivery" whether that means you pick it up at their lot, or they deliver it to your house, it is upon receipt AND acceptance of possession. So, even if they get it to your house, and you decline delivery, it is still on their insurance. Or at least that is the way for vehicles. **I got my lawyer's degree from a cracker jack box, and live in the state of denial - your state laws may differ.
Will you just go buy the @#$$ thing. Go and pay for it and just drive it home. Get it all covered in mud like a pig.
Gonna have to start a new thread...."I drove my utv home from the dealership and need to get my car home"...
Have one of the shop guys/gals follow in the car, then you can drive 'em back in the UTV. More seat time in that wouldn't be so bad, right?
Sorry, I should have answered this today. The dealership called and let me know that even if I pay for it in advance, it would be on their bill until it reaches my place. No worries. EDIT: That is, with them delivering it.
Paid for it and had it delivered on Fri. 12th. Only used it to pull the boat out of the water so far; 99 has driven it more than I have! Final price after haggling was 8330 for the 2018 camo 570 mid size. Thanks for all the responses!
Boy Dave, that seems like a good deal for a SxS. Brother got his Can Am 10 years ago for about the same price....not a SxS though.
You know, I walked in there just wanting to know the price. Ended up talking them down almost 1500 on the unit! It really does help when they know you don't really care if you get it or not.
