    Unfortunately it was me that this happened to today.:picard:

    I took the new tires and rims with the old tires on and had the local shop mount the new tires.
    I didn't pay enough attention when I picked them up tonight. The bigger deal is that the the technician didn't pay enough attention. I was more concerned that I didn't get shop crap on my work khakis when loading up the wheels into the 4runner. So it goes another day.

    I only took the rims into this shop because the last time I had them mount new tires, they didn't listen to me and they didn't put my car in "jack mode" when they listed the Audi to mount the new tires. So guess who's air suspension compressor ran, and ran, and ran, wearing my compression ring on the suspension compressor out to not allow the car to go above level 1? That lack of level 2, because the compressor ring was worn contributed to my tires only making it to 30k vs the 40k the tires are rated for.

    So I'll drop this 1 wheel off tomorrow in my way in to work and ask them to see what's wrong with this picture.

    I can't get my time back, and I know that the not want to do anything for the hassle since I've already paid for the mounting and balancing.
    Maybe I can get them to put the new compressor ring into my compressor? Lol, I don't want them touching my car.

    At this point I'll be happy if they just mount this the in the rim correctly.

    Ugh.

    Unfortunately, with the hiring practices, you have to be the "supervisor".
    :confused:

    Hope they square up on the tire at least.
