    Picking Up & Busting 36" Diameter White Oak Rounds With The Allwood Splitter, Estimated weight of this log is 650 lbs. It filled the skid steer bucket with splits and then some.

    I will on the next one, I didn't think to count the splits but that is a good idea. I have a bunch more that size and bigger too.

    That round makes the splitter look small and this splitter is 12' long and 5' wide.

    I see you are in Mohegan Lake, I grew up in Stormville, lived in Hopewell Junction & Millbrook over the years.

    My guess is 25
    I did a maple once that we had to split into quarters with wedges before lifting each quarter onto the splitter. Those quarters looked to be about that size and we ran the quarters a total of 99 times through the splitter, so I'm guessing he'll run that through 25 times. (Of course, this will vary depending on how small/large he splits)

    Next big round I do I'll check the count. I try to split stuff small enough for my customers so they can pick up a split with one hand unless they ask for bigger stuff. I actually enjoy splitting firewood again with this splitter.
