Hauling home another load of red oak I got from a co-worker . Left me sit 20 miles from home changing it on the side of the road. Just glad I decided not to take the interstate. Need to figure out why it was rubbing inside wheel well.
That's a tough day, at least you had a spare. There's nothing worse than a flat with a loaded truck or trailer, twice as hard to jack up.
The tires are fairly tight in the wheel wells and with big load on the bigger the bulge and then flexing going around the corner Even with 60#air Mechanical wise all is good. Going with smaller tires. 205 instead of 225. Should give plenty of room.
I don't know anything about your trailer but please keep in mind that smaller tires may fit better in the wells, but they also have less load capacity! Check the sidewalls or the tire manufacturers web site for load info.... Also... any load bulge is at the bottom of the tire... Just saying, but like I said, I don't know anything about you trailer, number of axles, load capacity of the trailer, load capacity of your tires, age of your tires, or even if they're Chinese tires..... Some older Goodyear Marathons were made in China
HEY, I have sold a lot of trailer tires a lot of trailers have limited clearance in the fenderwells sometimesI have had to try several brands of tires even though they are supposed to be the same size I have found as much as 1/2 inch difference in width you might have to do some shopping also a low tire would cause trailer to lean more and when turning would cause the fender to rub Good Luck JB
Tires always kept at 60-65psi. The fenders have inners that I took out today after work. That's what was rubbing. Got 1/4 to 3/8 inch clearance. Might look for wheel spacers. To gain another 1/4inch. Really want to keep these tires as they are like new and load range D .
