We've had upper 80's all week and forecasted 90's late week. No end in sight to even be able to open windows at night or cut off the AC
The Kindling cracker works good for making these Pieces up , What I like about it is ,you can Position the split on The wedge And split it Exactly where you want ,Not to mention My fingers are safe, That's a good thing considering my bad aim
Heres a few pics of the snow fall today. The second one is of my little apple tree with its leaves still on it. That pic was taken earlier on today. I shook it a few times to loosen the weight. Im not sure yet how much damage there is. So far I think we have about 8-10 inches.
That's sure worse than any amount of snow we've had!! I think we had 1.5" or so at one time, but it melted that day. What does your poochy think of the first snow?
64*.....pretty descent day today.....finally mowed yesterday. The folks north of us in PA had some severe thunderstorms w/ few tornados. We had some rain n that was it..... Guess if we want a fire..we are gonna have to go to the firepit....
63f right now but last night was horrible, they are saying a tornado hit in my county so their will be alot of firewood, I was on my way home from work and the highways speed limit was 25 mph I couldn't see anything in front of me. I'm glad I made it home safely especially after all the morons that were on their phones driving and texting
Love my kindling cracker! I’m not as sure and steady as I used to be, and it’s safer swinging a hammer than a hatchet. And hitting the right spot every time is much easier, I agree. I feel pretty good about supporting the ambitious young lady who came up with it too. You don’t see many young people splitting kindling these days.
We’re still wet and raw, around 45, so i kept the fire going overnight and just reloaded for the morning around 5:30. It’s supposed to clear up and hit 60 by afternoon and stick around a few days.
Although the radar showed no precipitation yesterday and last night we had an almost solid mist. Hunting last night it was a constant drip in the woods. Sean , yes, I'd say winter is there!
Bear, we've been quite cool here and it is appreciated but now looks like we'll have plenty of 70's for the next week. And now they are predicting 80 for today... Nuts.
Ya It is nuts Should be highs in 50-60s Our humidity has been 95+ every day since June Never seen a summer like that ever
Still chilly, sitting at -4 C or 24 F, and heading to -10 C or 14 F overnight. And some wind on top. So glad we have the wood stove.
Hit 79 today , 74 now 11:30 pm, so , no fire . Opened the stove door And had to pull out the torch and burn up a couple stink bugs that were in there They say High: 60 Tomorrow
Quarter to 12 here and it's 73 have window open with fans trying not to turn the AC back on this year dew point been high so during the day it's been on the warm side even after the rain tomorrow still suppose to be in the 80s for a few more days
It was -8c/17.5f this morning and -3c/26.5f now. I loaded the stove a few times earlier today but let it go out as I was at work all day and didnt get home until 930 pm. Im to tired to get a fire going so the furnace will do its thing until tomorrow. My muscles arent used to snow shoveling so hopefully this blip of snowy weather is the last I have to deal with for a bit. Heres a pic from my window this morning at 8 am. At the top right of the photo you'll notice little icicles forming.
