Probably nobody here needs this since our members are all so far ahead of the game cutting firewood, but I figured I'd ask before putting it up on eBay. This is an older but lightly used 036 -- base model, not pro, so no decomp or compensating carb. I picked it up a few weeks ago needing just a bit of TLC. The previous owner had owned it a couple of years and only used it once or twice because he couldn't get it to run well. I quickly discovered that he'd mucked around with the throttle linkages and put them back together incorrectly, breaking the plastic switch shaft in the process. I gave it a new switch shaft, fuel line, chain catcher and carb kit, all OEM, and also gave it a good cleaning (albeit not sterilization). Compression reads 160 and it runs great -- this morning it fired on the third pull and started on the fourth. The Stihl 20" bar and chain that go with it are useful but imperfect; the chain is almost new but has three damaged teeth from having hit something very unyielding, but the rest of the teeth are long and freshly sharpened.
