Had to do a little redneck engineering the other day. Slapped this together from old fence posts, a second hand stair tread, and pt cutoffs from a project a couple years ago. When I'm done with it, I'll reuse the screws! (It'll be their third time, these coated deck screws are great!)

I have a ton of 24" splits since I have always cut to that length for the owb. Now that we're making the move inside, I had to cut them down. Rather than wind up with a huge pile of 4-6" cutoffs, I elected to halve the splits, which I will use in a n/s direction in the new IS.

Managed to get a fair bit done up last Saturday afternoon.

I really like the design. If I had a flat inch of property I'd copy it. The cuts would be rolling down into the neighbors yard...

I like it, may have to make one as well. I have a good amount of 24 to 30 inch stuff sitting around from back before I figured out how to measure before I cut

Nice way to cut it down to size.

Nice. It can be a pain to recut all the firewood but just one more job that has to be done. I like they way you reuse too.

Use it up, wear it out. Make it do or do without.
