image.jpg Got a call from my brother last night. A 30" white oak ebbing my barn gave up the ghost and fell over. Luckily it did no damage to my barn. We have had our eye on it and were planning to have a logger buddy help us take it down the winter. Have 3 hours work in so far and imagine I'll have another 5-6 at least. Should be more than a cord of wood.

That would have done some big time damage if it had hit the barn. As it is, congratulations on some good firewood.

It's always nice when a problem solves itself and everyone involved is happy.

You're going to have to hook your brother up for that one. Easy to access is nice!

Nice that it came down since you were eyeing it anyway. Glad there was no damage! Some dandy firewood a few years out!

image.jpg Another hour after work. Saw work is done, just picking up the rest of the brush and smaller rounds. My brother spied a 10' section that he will have sawed for lumber. Moving big pieces left to the processing area with forks-easy way out!!
