    Yup, 4x4. Does seem to have very little rust especially for a gmt800. Few dents and dings, but that's fine by me....I'd put her to work.

    Got asked if I wanted some apple on Friday, well, why not.

    So I meet up with co-worker who does lawn service on the side, and we head out and tackle the apple.
    :saw::tree:

    Quite a day, good, but tiring dragging and loading up all the branches.

    Took 3 1/2 trailer loads of branches up on her hill.

    I got a fair bit of wood, and at the end of the day he slips me $60. (not quite the 9-5 type pay, but for 4 hrs, not terrible)

    Now, I was not expecting to be paid, but I wasn't gonna turn it down.
    ;)

    Pics of course.

    Looks great! Hauling branches is hard work, you deserve to get paid. I love apple, it splits pretty easy

    Yeah, it would have been a heck of a lot easier had it been after the apples were off.
    :rofl: :lol:

    Really a shame, we both had a couple of the better apples, and one more month and they woulda been awesome.
    :confused:

    But she's gonna have a deer party there for sure.
    :beerbbq::dancer:

    Perhaps I should ask her if she'd allow me to hunt there this year.
    I think she'd be amenable to the request.

    Got a call that the cottage and surrounding area was fine but several homes and building lost their roofs in the small town about 10 miles away.

    They weren't quite ready.
    :confused:

    Only brought 10 home.

    Heh, by the time we finished, I was kinda sick of seeing apples to be quite honest. Not a fan of "walking" over apples with a running chainsaw.

    Good thing I've got my "beer legs"
    :rofl: :lol:

    How is it you have blackberries so late in the season. Our berry season has come and gone for most every kind of berry. I think only cranberries are to be harvested. We have apples still on the tree in the orchards, but that too will come to and end in a couple weeks. Our growing season is real short. Everything comes on and is gone in 4 months.

    Our blackberries don't start getting ripe until the first of September. this year was so dry that they didn't do that well. There are still flowers on parts of the bushes. I didn't get out to pick any today. Got buried in my bookkeeping.

    Too wet to do much this weekend, got another 7 or 8 inches of rain this week. So headed out to the cabin and watched the water rise. Smoked a pork roast on the smoker and did a little more interior finish work, almost done inside, ready for winter! Water was dropping this afternoon.
