We're having a beautiful day here with temps in the upper 60s to low 70s. Finally got to get out to cut some logs I pulled out this summer.

First a pile of cherry. This came down in a storm in May 2017. Some of it is a bit rotted but most of it is still solid.

On the right is a small pile of oak. The left is a small pile of maple.

Last is a small pile of apple that also came down in the May 2017 storm. In the background is stuff that has been CSS since spring. Up front is a mix of maple, walnut and apple. In the middle is oak. The rear stack is ash that is ready to go for this winter if needed.

Just for good measure here is a pic of my pup Ruger on top of my slabwood pile.

Looks great Marvin ! It sure was a nice day in Huntingdon County today compared to what we've been getting. Ruger is a handsome dog. I really miss having a dog to keep me company when I work outside. As soon as I retire I plan to get one again.

I haven't actually measured to see how much I have all together yet. I will probably get a total once I have all of this split and stacked.

The only stuff I have measured is the stuff I will be burning this year and that total is about 3.25 cord.

I am curious to see how much of that I go through this year as I've never kept track plus I'll be using a different wood stove this year.

Nice stacks and pup there Marvin

Your Ruger reminds me a lot of our Holly. She loves to hunt the critters as well, but I stack the wood, she prefers to unstack it.
