Surfing for pellets, Homer is showing 249 per ton or order 4 or more tons for 219.02 / ton. Still get socked with + $79 for delivery but not a bad deal if you can score a decent softy. Unfortunately 01876 only has Green Supreme landed so far.

i bought 9 tons from depot. delivered today. I talked to the driver. Cardinal lost the delivery contract and forced the drivers to become independant operators. That is why delivery went up.
The driver was extremely helpful, even brought in a few tons using my pallet jack. very appreciative!

Looks like some local HDs (at least, what they are showing online) have Blue Ridge Pellets. Anyone have any info on those?

Those Blue Ridge pellets made an appearance at various stores around here in the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons. These days, I don't see them for sale anymore at any of the shops that sold them previously. Pretty sure Russell picked up and tested a couple bags last season, and said he liked them. Don't get your hopes up; the wood pellet bag images on the HD website rarely ever match what they are actually selling in any given store. Stove chows being the one exception, at least around here...

Pretty sure they come from the Mohegan Indian tribe mill in Tenn....don't think they are very widely distributed in NE, but I could be wrong on that....

Thanks everyone. I'll see if I can visit the local HD and get a visual on what they actually have.

I honestly don't remember the results on the Blue Ridge but don't think it was anything other than average . So far my small testing and where I live for convenience HD Carrage House , Energex softwood and Cubex all between $5 - $ 6 a bag will have to do this year , also there are some LaCretes at Fireplace Showcase available.

It seems to vary by location. 2 HD's I've been to NH have had 4 tons or more at the $219/ton price. The HD in Hooksette, NH though, has a sign outside that says 6 ton minimum to get that price.
