034 love affair

    On the other site I posted a few pics when I first got two old 034s. Here they are again-

    I'm lovin 'em so far. After replacing the basics and cleaning them up, both are runners. In fact, I'm kind of interested in getting another one (or two) for my Dad and a "cabin saw." Is it normal to want one particular model? Anyone else have a love affair with a saw? haha

    I really want an 038 Magnum. It will happen, I just need to let it.

    Someone around here may like 036's.

    I LOVE 036's.... :)

    Same platform, and almost exactly the same if they were 034 Supers.

    Out of all the saws I own, my 034 will be the hardest to part with when the time comes. It was my first Stihl. (That I owned)

    I love my 034 Saw too. It was my third saw but 2nd favorite, my first is my smaller one. It just seems to have a lot of power to weight ratio and a good balance.

    Those are good looking saws too you've got there.

    My 036 Pro was my 1st Stihl. Would be very hard, but just had an offer of $425!!

    I have owned 5 runners, and 2 parts (one was an 034 Super) . Here is a good pic when I was selling 2 of them

    The last pic, farthest back and right (Pro with hardly any paint damage) is the only one I have left. Have had 2 361's also. They are awesome. But not my 1st

    Your 1st of anything always holds a special place in your heart. :)

    The old beat to heck and back super 034 runs well and looks like a grenade went off in the fuel tank and a log truck drove over it. Not bad if I do say so.

    You do really want an 038mag. Some say they're heavy, but its not that bad. I love mine.

    That's a 28". With the 20", and an 8 pin rim, look out.

    I clearly have a love affair with this saw. Could have got a nice used 460 for what I ended up putting into it, but it is a great saw that is desirable. There's always time for a 460 later. Can't wait to really cut with the 038mag, got it in August.

    It's summer, nothing else to do with the saws other that clean bars and buy new chit for the saws.

    Yep. Summer. Just got my log load 2 weeks ago. Gonna start cuttin soon. That and I am always buying bars! :)

    If I would quit buying bars, saws, chains, oils, parts, tools, splitters, trailers, trucks, etc. this wood heating would be economical. Right now it is merely affordable, hot hot heat, that entertains me in the winter.

    Suppose that is worth something.

    I am truly addicted however I am running outta places to cut :( Two people moved the new owners won't let me cut. One property was bought for a housing development and the other is shall we say a nightmare to get into this time of year. There are still a few though and I will make the drive just for the addiction of running my saws :D

    My thoughts exactly!!!

    FeeBay. I think that Sugi was right at $50. It was designed to mount directly to a Stihl. But comes with 3 different kind of spacers, so it fits almost any saw out tthere. I will PM you a pic of the list of saws (after work)? I know a place that is gonna do a sale on Sugi bars (16" or 18" I think). Can give you that info to.
