There’s such a plethora of free wood in the Hartford area right now. Gypsy moth trees dieing everywhere. Would have to be crazy to go for that deal.
Offer him your saw and splitter (supervised) if hes only willing to give you one for every 3 he takes. You having to cut and split it....forget it. Tell him to get his slave labour somewhere else.
Check back in 2 weeks and I'll bet it'll say "Firewood 20 cords to split sharecrop 50-50, I buy fuel, beer and lunch. Please help"

I've done 50/50 50/50 on the load of logs cost 50/50 cutting 50/50 splitting Hauled my own half home with my own truck Opportunist and sadly he might just find someone ambitious, cold and desperate enough. Or a bunch of newbies to work for a day and decide it isn't worth it.
