    Or should this be in Craiglist Laugh of the Day? Not that I am interested because it seems like a lot of work and equipment time for little return. But I am interested to hear the opinions of others.

    Reverse the ratio and we can talk.

    The "20 cord" is probably one big nasty tree hanging over his house with hot wires going through it, that will split down to about three cord.

    The reason I said what I said....is....I helped several people just split wood n they insisted I take half of what was split...most of time I didn't cause I just enjoyed helping out.

    Wow!!!!

    I can use my equipment, do all the work, and still get to bring home 25% of my sweat equity.
    :thumbs::thumbs:

    Man, I wonder if he'd let me stack his 15 cords also.

    What you did is giving. That is good. Your choice. That CL guy was taking, in excess of what most see as reasonable. then he/she was rude about it with those liability statements. He started right out being hostile.

    Guess I'd best take some bandages to bring my fingers home.

    Wouldn't want to impose on his generosity.

    I woodn't do it...then again I have my own woods and equipment. I thought about doing something like that last year, but the guy was a real jerk in the end...he needed me and I didn't need him at all...so didn't do it.

    I wood say there are easier ways to get wood.

    I agree with Eric VW.
    I cut 1 : 2 years ago and didn't think that was worth my effort what with equipment and labor. I did all the cutting, splitting and hauling landowner did nothing.
    Then he wanted it stacked I threw it off the truck and never went back.

    Huh? Guy's freaking insane! You want a deal like that C'mon over, use my equipment & fuel, take 1/2 the wood home & I'll buy lunch.
