Do you have a buddy, you can ask to stop by, give a beer to, and say ...oh while your here I need to get this freezer loaded up, you mind helping me? If not beer tell him your cooking burgers and to stop by..whatever to get him there.

Definitely no alcohol being supplied by me. Only person I can think of is my great uncle next door, but I'll probably be stubborn and figure something out. Perhaps at risk of injury haha.

I do the same type stuff, loading and unloading really heavy stuff.

If it were me and it was one of those giant ones, I'd take my grinder and cut it in 2.

It's 5 feet long and change. I honestly guessed it at 6.5 or 7 feet till I measured it.

Grandfather would lose his mind if I did that, haha....even if it's something he'd do himself. I'm thinking if need be, I could worm it up the bank and back the truck up to the bank. I haven't sized up how heavy it is yet. My uncle and grandfather got it out of the basement, and grandfather's not good for much....so, it probably won't be that bad

They aren't bad. Just pick one end up and set it on the tailgate...pick the other up and slide it in.

Yeah, that's kinda what I was hoping. We have carried slightly smaller ones in a Suzuki hatchback....but being an ancient one, I know it's probably heavier than a newer one.

My back is a bit sore, that ain't helping. Did something with it last Saturday....

Heading straight to illinois tomorrow from work.

Today was my wife's last day at her job for the next 8 weeks.
She'll be quitting soon after maternity leave as we will be living in Indiana.

Canning is done for the year. For part of the yard mowed before I ran out of gas and daylight. I really need to put a light bar on my mower.

Is it bad? If so what does cutting it matter? But yea as long as you not like a 115 pound 4'11" guy you can probably pick up one side and get it on tailgate and push it up. Or kick it off the bank like you said.

releasing freon would definitely be a concern. Probably never get caught for it, but I'd rather not. Otherwise, just can't do anything right around grandfather. One night I was using a little handsaw downstairs, he first complains people are trying to watch TV (but at other times he's talking about modern tech being the imminent death of humanity), then soon after comes down and just about freaks out, saying grandmother is in bed sick. I didn't know that. Next morning rolls around, grandmother's still in bed, he had to know that, and he's using power tools own there, never mind a handsaw.

On another note, one nice thing about the deep freeze, is I'll still effectively get a full load of thorn bushes in the truck if I fill the freezer up too. I also have 3 tires to dispose of, those will cushion the freezer so it's not slamming around in the truck. hopefully 2 loads will have the first pile eradicated.

Your family is lucky to have you, but maybe some don't realize that.

Monin folks... :coffee:... ahhh... lots cooler here, temps in the 50s. I'm really looking forward to that woodstove down in the cave this winter. Clearing more of an area in front of it, and working on getting m'ole comfy chair down there too... :fire:...... ;)

Thanks haha. He doesn't seem to have much of a relationship with anyone, I pity him in one way but it's still hard to deal with sometimes.

Trick is to keep your emotions out of it. Vent later. They teach us self control.
