I'm looking for something other than foil tape to seal the joints on my exhaust. Does anyone know of a product like this?

Hmm. Why not just use high temp rtv to seal it?

It’s hard to disassemble pipe when sealed with the rtv.... besides cutting it loose. That’s my experience at least.

Hi temp silicone tape is what I use. The stuff works great. Best deals seem to be on eBay and Amazon.

Thanks for the replies. I spent an hour searching Amazon last night and never had the tape TT listed show up. I want to use the tape for the same reason Eric does. Foil tape doesn't come off easy either.

I have tried several different tapes on the pellet vent, and the silver sticky vent tape has been the best product with zero leaks.

The chrome color is not the most pleasant to look at for sure.

Sadly none of the pipe makers have come up with a pipe that seals really well...

What would be cool would be a high heat silicone band that's a bit smaller than the pipe and could be slipped over the pipe at the time the connections are made and then slipped back over the joint to seal it well.

    Hmmmmm

I have not used that brand of pipe.

    Have to check it out.
We have the Simpson dura-vent on our stoves.
Without the foil sticky tape...they leak :picard:
