The Fireview is finally on the hearth and in the process of getting hooked up. I don’t have one piece of pipe so I had to order one. While waiting I decided to take a bunch of pictures of the stove inside and out before it’s fired for the first time for future reference. Figured I’d share them here in case anyone else has a need or just a curiosity. I rented a powered stair climbing dolly to get it into the house and downstairs and that went pretty well but I didn’t get any pictures of that, sorry. I used the Kubota to get it off the truck of course. Here goes...
Thanks Marvin! I’ll definitely post a few once it’s finished. I can’t wait for this muggy weather to finally give up so I can break it in.
New stoves, does that mean we are going to have winter this year. We were at almost 100 degrees here today. ***** Looking good though, almost a shame to get it dirty. I remember the first fire in my Buck Stove, now I am trying to remember if this is winter # 4 coming up.
That is a beautiful stove. I like the darker cast. I was doing a bat removal and exclusion job a couple weeks ago. My customer had a fireview very similar to yours. He set it up wrong, and it still was the best stove he has every owned. Biggest thing though was he does have perfect wood. I was hoping he didn't like it. I would have traded for that stove in two seconds flat...
Thank you Camber! I’m really looking forward to enjoying ours for many years to come. It’s definitely a centerpiece in the room, and I’m really tickled to be able to showcase such great New England craftsmanship. Everyone who’s seen it so far wants one lol. I hope at least half follow through, they won’t be disappointed I’m sure.
Wow. We had a high of 82 here but it was really sticky. Did not run the air yesterday but will be turning it on soon as they predict 88 for today.
That is a beauty!!! I'm sure you thought of this but light it off while you can open the house and all the windows. Your gonna get that "new paint smell" for a bit.
Absolutely! Gotta burn her in! Hopefully we’ll get the weather soon. The dew point is still near 70 here through Thursday. Supposed to drop like a rock this weekend though so I might get the chance. My last piece of pipe should be here today so final assembly will be today or tomorrow. I’ll have to change my avatar after that
UPS brought the final section of pipe this morning so she’s finally ready for cold weather. It’s a little hard to tell from the picture but all the pipe and trim ring are painted to match the stove. Hopefully I’ll get to fire it up this weekend
Cold front coming in, predicting a high in the 60s and low in the 40s where I'm at. So open the windows and fire that girl up
